Rosary is my strength!

I love you October.

You bring the loving memories of Our Lady of Rosary!

You remind me of the early mornings going to the church together with my parents, reciting, singing in the magical atmosphere of incense and candles! The pleasant evenings of reciting Rosary together with my parents, brothers and sisters are really the nostalgic memories of today!

I always carry a rosary with me. If I forget to take, then I feel insecure! Rosary teaches me to walk with Jesus, to think with Jesus, to speak with Jesus, and to be with Jesus!

As a child, I thought that only the Christians use rosary. Later, I realized that all the religions follow this form of prayer. Because word, name has an immensely extra- ordinary power. The Nyaya Philosophy states that ‘word is power’. Word has the power to create; word has the power to bless; word has the power to cleanse; also, word has the power to destroy. In the gospel of St. John, we read that Word is God. In the Indian thought Word is Brahman. It is language that gives existence to this reality. Bhartrhari says, “all the knowledge permeates through language”.

Rosary in Christianity is a pilgrimage with Mother Mary, meditating over the mysteries of Jesus Christ. As the wise men did, it is ‘paying homage’ to Jesus with Mary. “On entering the house, they saw the child with Mary his mother; and they knelt down and paid him homage.”  (Mt 2, 11) It is the prayer of disciples together with Mother Mary in the Upper room expecting the Holy Spirit. (Acts 1,14)

The challenging preparedness of Mother Mary to listen to the word of God is the Rosary; the ever readiness of Mother Mary to accept the will of God is the Rosary; and the bold commitment of Mother Mary to do the will of God is the Rosary.

Rosary makes me passionate, compassionate and a motivated Christian.

Rosary teaches me to be sure in my heart that God will act in my best interest, God will act for my greater good, especially when human hearts immersed in sorrow and grief.

Blessed are you, October! Your days are filled with the respectful and loving memories of Mother Mary!
